Elias Mboto

Mr. Mboto is a customs specialist with nineteen years of work experience in the shipping industry. Straight from school, he joined Tedco Management Services where he trained and worked as an inventory controller. After a few years, he moved to Population Services International /Zimbabwe where he pursued the inventory management role, this time with the opportunity of rubbing shoulders with shippers, clearing agents and customs officers. He fell in love with the Customs issues and in 2005 he moved to Zimbabwe Revenue Authority to further his customs and taxes dream He would spend the next fourteen years working in the various customs departments which made him a complete customs point of reference. He was involved in the crafting of the Zimra ISO procedures and instructions which spells how each customs task is carried out. He was also an ISO 9001 champion and mentor for graduate trainees. He would resign in 2019 to fulfill his lifelong dream of leading the establishment of a customs and taxation firm. He is a holder of a BSc Honors degree in Entrepreneurial Development studies (Management and Marketing), Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrator of Zimbabwe certificate, Zimra’s Taxation and Customs legislation and procedures certificate and other various certificates from the customs industry. Currently, he is studying towards a Masters in Entrepreneurial Development (Strategic Management)
